This year I have decided to read one quote from R.J. Palacio's 365 Days of Wonder: Mr. Browne's Book of Precepts every morning. The book was given to me as a gift and I'm already up to day 11! A precept is a rule, something to live by. In R.J. Palacio's first book Wonder, the main character's Auggie's teacher Mr. Browne collects precepts that are truly words of wisdom.
The precept for today is by Anne Frank- "How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." If you haven't read Wonder yet it is about a boy named Auggie who is going into middle school. It's Auggie's first time ever going to school. He has been homeschooled his entire life. Auggie was born with a deformity and doesn't look like the other kids. He struggles to make friends because he is so different. Despite this, Auggie becomes the catalyst for a real change and improvement in his school. His story, much like Anne Frank's reminded me that can improve the world in so many ways. Choosing to be kind everyday is a great start. Choosing to read everyday is also a great start! What are you reading this year?

I really liked wonder it was one of my most favorite realistic fiction books. I also like 365 days of wonder because it had a lot of quotes that would cheer me up when i was sad

I loved Wonder it was amazing. I didn't try that book of precepts though because it is just precepts but I have read other wonder stories.
