Jericho History Day is a celebration of student learning in which students have the chance to become junior historians and research a historical topic that matches both their grade level curriculum and a theme. Each year, Jericho Middle School students in 7th and 8th grade create these historical research projects for Jericho History Day that combine research from both primary and secondary sources with their own analysis. Students will look through libraries, archives and museums, and may even conduct oral history interviews, and visit historic sites to develop an understanding of their topics. When they have completed their research, they have an option to create a full National history day project in one of nine categories.
